Introducing our Hackney team

As you may have heard us say before: the homes we market aren’t limited by price point or postcode. From studio flats to handsome country houses and everything in between, our listings are instead unified in the quality of their design. The bottom line is that we sell beautiful places to live, wherever they may be.

That said, we have noticed a bit of a geographical trend lately… We’ve always been fond of the London borough of Hackney, not just for its buzz but for its architectural diversity too. This is a patch of town where inventive warehouse conversions rub shoulders with mid-century apartment blocks and elegant Georgian townhouses. Its housing stock is hard to sum up in a sentence – and more’s the pleasure. What we can say is that for 19 years, we’ve been lucky enough to count such homes among our most successful listings.

But in the last 18 months, things have ramped up somewhat. Together with our companion agency, Inigo, we’ve sold 89 homes in Hackney, achieving an average of 101 per cent of asking prices. We’ve noticed increased interest from buyers and sellers alike (our appraisals specialists are in the area every single week) and we want to make the most of this, which is why we’ve decided to try something new. With the foundation of our new Hackney desk – a collaborative team of local specialists working across both Inigo and The Modern House – we’ll be ensuring our clients continue to benefit from our first-rate service, while achieving the absolute best results for the area, thanks to the team’s local know-how.

Comprising two appraisals specialists, two sales advisors and a manager, the Hackney team will work closely with you to discuss the local market, develop a pricing strategy before launching your listing, finding buyers and making sure conveyancing goes to plan. The idea is to build on the enormous success we’ve already had here, to develop our expertise even further and to cement our reputation the go-to agents for thoughtfully designed homes in the borough. Speaking of which, if you’ve one of your own to sell, get in touch. We’d love to hear from you.
