What We're Seeing: Back to the Future

Inspiration The Modern House

This April the Royal Academy will host a discussion at the Geological Society to examine whether, in an age of austerity, the utopian ideals of post-war Modernism offer any solutions to our current situation.

Architects including Peter Barber, Farshid Moussavi and Douglas Murphy, along with Adrian Forty – Professor of the History of Architecture at The Bartlett School – will discuss what we can learn by looking back at the social innovations of post-war Modernism, and whether we can build on these ideas to develop new solutions for contemporary housing shortfalls.
