This spectacular 4 / 5-bedroom house occupies one half of a former handbag factory. The building was coverted into two modern homes by Knott Architects in 2000.

The bathroom has walls of sand and cement render with a waterproof additive; these are punctuated by coloured Perspex rods sunk into the exterior walls, which send beams of light across the room when the sun comes out. At night, the bathroom wall from the outside looks like a pinboard of tiny red and yellow lights.
The house is located a short walk from Finsbury Park station, which offers swift access to central London on the Victoria Line and Piccadilly Line, as well as Overground services. The open spaces of Finsbury Park itself are also close at hand.
