This stunning four / five-bedroom, three-reception room house, set in a secluded half acre plot, was designed in 1965 by the architect Gordon Dixon. Amongst many of its outstanding features, it includes a double height living room with floor to ceiling windows on on two walls, an original green marble fireplace, extensive hardwood parquet flooring and an original 1950s kitchen (imported from Philadelphia, USA by the current owners). All large glazing units are hardwood or UPVC double glazed.

The house is well located on the favoured west side of Bexhill-on-Sea. The coastal town of Bexhill is the home of the De-La-Warr Pavilion, one of Britain’s most celebrated Modern buildings. This 1935 building by Erich Mendelsohn and Serge Chermayeff has been recently renovated and is now an internationally renowned arts centre with an impressive programme of exhibitions, performances and events. The East Sussex coast is renowned for its beaches, good climate and its restaurants and cafe culture. Although Brighton is the best-known town along the coast, others such as Bexhill are becoming increasingly popular. Train services run directly from London Victoria to Bexhill in under two hours, with faster services (1 hour 20 minutes) running to nearby Battle.
