Villa Bandol Cτte d'Azur, France From approx £3,600 per wk Introduction Accommodation
Sleeps: 10
This spectacular house near the popular Provence village of Bandol in the south of France was designed by the celebrated architect Rudy Ricciotti. It is a large villa designed around an extraordinary 28m 'aquarium' pool that features glass walls, allowing swimmers to be seen from the interior of the house.
The expanses of glass in the pool and house allow the external and internal environments to flow freely into each other, creating a light and airy living space. The house is constructed from rough cement, local stone, steel, glass and wood, providing an engaging combination of textures that echo the local landscape.
The house is perched on an outcrop of high land, allowing for far-reaching views all around - to the sea in one direction and to the vineyards and local orange groves in another.
Villa Bandol is decorated internally with a collection of classic Modern furniture and bespoke architectural elements. The kitchen is fully equipped with a double oven, twin refrigerators and other appliances.
The famous beach at Bandol is only 1.5km away and the village also offers a range of bars, shops and restaurants. Bandol is also known for its wine production and attractive harbour.
