judging panel was made up of Isabel Allen, Robin Ellis of Robin Ellis Design
and construction, Piers Gough, Kevin Bonfield of Boyden, and Rob Wilson of
the RIBA) The Scottish Design Awards Best Residential Project, commendation RIBA Awards 2006 (Shortlisted) The Sunday Times featured the
house and architects in an article by Dominic Bradbury in February 2006: "Gracing
the edges of a quite Scottish Hamlet...the house comes as a striking
surprise. A contemporary cedar clad statement designed for upside down
living, it would not be out of place in a style conscious corner of Austria
or Switzerland. But here we are, a dozen miles from Edinburgh..." |
