Archmongers is a London based architecture and design studio established by Margaret Bursa and Johan Hybschmann. The practice focuses on creating pleasurable but practical spaces that make use of beautiful, hardwearing, and timeless materials. Each project achieves equilibrium between aesthetics and function, embodying a purposeful, modern environment that allows its inhabitants to thrive.

The studio takes an energetic approach to the creative design process, developing ideas through drawings, models, collaboration and conversation. They discover the history of a space through working and creating within the specific context, and collaborate with clients through the building process taking an iterative approach from concept design to construction. Projects range from domestic to commercial and we work in both urban and rural settings. The practice specialises in redesigning and extension both modern and period properties as well as new build houses of any scale.
